Micromanipulators - Manual Control
The LBM-7 Manual Manipulator (affectionately known as the Little Blue Manipulator) was designed to bridge the gap between coarse manipulators and super fine micromanipulators.
With a resolution of approximately 1µm and the flexibility of seven axes of movement, the LBM-7 is an extremely useful positioning tool.
The convenient rotational stages and optional sliding carriage makes probe positioning fast and simple. This manipulator is typically used for field recordings and positioning perfusion systems as well as many other applications.
Applications
- Positioning extracellular recording probes
- Aligning focal perfusion systems
- Positioning stimulating electrodes
- Impaling Oocytes for two electrode voltage clamp (TEVC) studies
- Microinjection
- Holding fibre optics for alignment or optogenetics studies
