Chromacity was founded in 2013 by Professor Derryck T. Reid, Dr Christopher Leburn and Dr Carl Farrell. They
shared a vision of bringing to market a range of lasers tailored to the specific requirements of life scientists and industrial
applications, driven by a unique combination of power, wavelength coverage and value for money.

Broadband Near-IR Source
The Chromacity OPO offers tuneable optical parametric oscillator solutions that cover both the near-IR and mid-IR wavelength
regions. Both systems are optically pumped by the Chromacity 1040 HP, which is fully integrated into the optical head to maximise
stability and reduce the overall footprint.
The near-IR OPO generates light across the 1.4 µm – 4 µm region (7100 cm-1 – 2500 cm-1). Wavelength selection is achieved by
translation of a PPLN crystal with varying grating periodicity.
The mid-IR OPO makes use of a new generation of non-linear crystals which allows the generation of light across the 5 µm – 12 µm
region (2000 cm-1 – 1000 cm-1).

Ultrashort Pulses at 1040 nm
The Chromacity 1040 is a fixed wavelength laser source that delivers femtosecond pulses with high average powers in the near-IR.
This fibre-based laser source allows you to harness the well-known capabilities of Yb-doped fibres as gain media while delivering
high quality and high power ultrashort pulses.
Chromacity 1040 is engineered with a custom designed and temperature-controlled baseplate, providing an unprecedented level of
ruggedness and reliability for this type of laser architecture. It also comes available with optional chirped output pulses in
addition to a range of pulse repetition frequencies to meet your requirements, making this a laser source that can easily integrate
into a number of applications.

520 nm Ultrafast Source
The Chromacity 520 is a fixed wavelength laser source that delivers femtosecond pulses with high average power in the green.
It features an air-cooled, compact, ultrafast ytterbium fibre-based laser delivering high performance with turnkey operation. The
instrument provides a fixed 520 nm output at a power of 500 mW to 1 W and is essentially a frequency-doubled version of the
company’s 1040 nm laser, the Chromacity 1040.
This laser source also provides the option to deliver dual output at 520/1040 nm from a single unit and is a useful source for a
wide range of nonlinear optics, microscopy and spectroscopy applications.
